Venture Capitalists Eye Green Construction
Venture capital funding is out there and it is showing signs of life in the green world. I read an article today on CNN Money about a company called Hycrete, which makes concrete more sustainable by reducing the carbon-based energy required in manufacturing and using recyclables in the actual materials. Interesting article. If the green industry today is where the computer industry was in the late 70's/early 80's, then both green innovators and green input providers alike are poised for huge growth in the marketplace (Microsoft scored big with the computer and so did Intel by supplying the processor.) I came across an article talking about green inputs being a big market mover...if I can find it, I will post it.

What people dont realise is that green homes and buildings are not only worth more (resale value) but are creating more reveneu as well. Higher occupancy rates paired with higher rental premiums equals more money in VC's pockets.
Here is a nice post that talks about some tangible survey results proving that energy star and LEED structures are pulling in more money even in this resession.

Going Green with Bamboo.
I am not certain that this is exactly the right place to post this, but I would like you to share this with your readers, please. As a Minneapolis real estate agent, I am always interested in promoting discussion about "green" construction and building techniques.

The construction field always has it ups and downs and is always changing but progress will never stop.Even in a questionable economy there is always room for growth and expansion. The will and strength of the people is what makes us all able to move forward and accomplish great feats together. and construction has always been the backbone of this country no matter the economic status.
